A Cherry popped and good hour spent with fantastic value! Well this will Be Travel Kermits's 47th Distillery we think. and what a belter it was. A once Silent still reborn in 2014. This is a historic distillation site that takes the knowledge and passion of a couple to produce a niche spirit. its now laying down a fair amount of spirit. the cafe is affordable and a pleasant place to be. However, for us the star attraction was Joe!! we got to burst his tour Cherry!! we were his first ever and the lovely Zoey (pictured with TK) was there as a mentor!! Joe was pleasant informative and funny, generous with the pour of spirit and for the cost of 18quid per person the 5 samples over the tour this provides good value for the price... give it a go!!! And well done JoeBernie S2024-02-23A fantastic tour and afternoon tea We visited Annandale Distillery today for a tour and afternoon tea. The buildings are really interesting and have been restored in a sympathic way to a high standard. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Adele led our tour and was very knowledgeable and personable. The whisky tasting on the tour was great, as was the engraved glass and lanyard holder that we got to take home. The afternoon tea was one of the best we've had with a interesting range of sweet and savoury home-made food, presented beautifully. The coffee shop was cosy and had a great atmosphere, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Well worth a visit, and I'm sure we will return.MelanieT2024-01-20Great tour and cafe Really enjoyed our visit, the distillery is beautiful and our tour from Adele was excellent! She was friendly, knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour. Really enjoyed the tour even as someone who wouldn’t usually drink whiskey. We also enjoyed a lovely visit to the cafe! Would recommend a visitEllie P2024-01-12Restaurant and tour Had a fabulous trip to Annandale distillery, visited both the Maltings coffee shop and took a guided tour. Definitely a worthwhile visit. I have been to a few distillery locations and this one has all the best elements. The buildings have been brought back to life, the equipment is well laid out and pleasant to see. There is a fine Café and a shop. The tour guide was Zoey (with a Y) and she was very professional. Well done to all.cheffy482023-12-12A must see Distillery Wow what a fantastic place to visit and to see the amazing achievements of the owners The visitor centre and coffee shop are superb We had the most amazing Scottish breakfast If you like historic buildings , good food and award winning Whiskey this place is a mustnorthanlass12023-12-03Highly Recommend Distillery visit . 5 Stars! I have been working in Scotland a lot this year & had been meaning to follow the signs to the Annandale Distillery for a while. I am very pleased that I did! The Staff in the shop, particularly Zoey, were very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. I’m really enjoying the Blended Whisky & the “Man O Words” Tasting selection that was recommended. I also followed Zoeys suggestion to visit the Cafe & had a really enjoyable , homemade Scone & Sandwich. Worth a visit just for the Food , lovely latte and warm welcome from the staff. I didn't have time for the Distillery Tour BUT will defo be going back to do that. The work that has gone into the restoration of this once derelict distillery is simply amazing. The tour is great, talking you through the whole process of making whiskey through to the tasting. Very knowledgeable staff throughout and a great cafe to finish your visit in.Kevin2023-11-17Great fun and extremely friendly This was great experience. Adele was extremely helpful on our arrival, we had booked a tour and arrived a little esrly but she filled us in and gave us our infomation and taster glasses. The experience was made even better when Adele was out tour guide she explained everything superbly, taking us through the history of the site explianing the processes of producing a top class whiskey. The tasting session was very good and again Adele was very good explaining flavours and taste of the whiskey we where trying. Overall this was a great couple of hours and well worth the money.andy44662023-11-16Scrumptious Afternoon tea If you are looking for a delicious afternoon tea look no further. A cosy environment, pleasant attentive staff. Afternoon tea was served as 2 courses, savoury followed by sweet. My favourite was the savoury selection....a very tasty cup of soup, sandwiches and a selection of bite size delight including chicken and leek tart and oatcake with smoked salmon on top of an oatcake. The sweet selection should not go unmentioned.....tasty, light white chocolate mousse, a most delightful strawberry tart, scones and other sweet treats. No holding back on pots of tea. Exceptional value, would highly recommend.Burwash Beauty2023-11-04
