Our cask team have a passion for finding unique and exceptional casks. This month we have an extremely rare opportunity to purchase your very own 225 litre ex-Chateau Margaux Red Wine Barrel, pre-filled with our award winning unpeated spirit.
These special barrels have spent their days at one of the most prestigious and oldest wine estates in the world – Chateau Margaux. Located in the heart of the Bordeaux region of France, these barrels are made from the finest oak trees, grown and harvested on the estate’s own land, and crafted by their skilled coopers.
By maturing our spirit in these barrels, we expect to create a truly special whisky with a rich and complex flavour profile. The tropical soft fruit notes of our new make spirit will be delicately influenced by the elegant wine that was once stored in these barrels, to giving a backbone of deep, ripe, dark red fruit undertones. This is a chance to own a piece of true luxury that you won’t find anywhere else.
