Shaved, toasted, re-charred ex-burgundy wine casks (STRs) have always been a favourite because of the unique fruity character they impart on our whisky, and this peated expression might be our best yet with incredible depth and complexity. Expect notes of sweet tobacco smoke, lots of orchard fruits, and treacle.
