Matured in a single Fresh Ex-Bourbon cask and bottled at cask strength (57.9%), this peated Man O’Sword expression perfectly encapsulates what we look to achieve when selecting Single Casks for bottling: whiskies that are at the peak of their sensory maturity and that showcase the Annandale spirit character and the influence of the cask without one overpowering the other. Orchard fruits are at the fore, this time Granny Smith apples, complemented by subtle woodsmoke from the peated barley and sweet hints of vanilla and toffee from the cask.
