The Globe Inn, Dumfries, a beloved culinary destination recently listed in the prestigious MICHELIN Guide, proudly announces its exquisite new summer menu. This vibrant offering marks the first menu created by newly appointed Head Chef Fraser Cameron. Chef Cameron highlights a commitment to showcasing the finest Scottish flavours with more local produce than ever before.
Chef Cameron’s passion for regional ingredients shines through in dishes featuring fresh produce from nearby farms, sustainable seafood, and even eggs from the historic Comlongon Estate. The culinary team’s dedication to local sourcing extends to handpicking wild herbs, edible flowers, and garlic from the estate’s grounds.
“I’m thrilled to introduce my first summer menu at The Globe Inn,” says Chef Cameron. “It’s a celebration of Scotland’s natural larder – from coastal waters to the bountiful farms and estates that surround us. Working with such incredible local ingredients inspires me daily; their quality and freshness are what make our dishes truly sing.”
The new summer menu is available now! Highlights include:
- Asparagus, Ham & Morel Salad, Burrata, PicPoul Jelly
- Duck Rillette en Croute, Carrot & Pickles
- Lamb Loin, Belly & Bun, Chicory, Blue Cheese & Haricot Blancs
- Elderflower Parfait and Strawberry Cremeaux
Guests can enjoy Chef Cameron’s creations in the historic 1610 restaurant at The Globe Inn, which is open Wednesday – Saturday for lunch and dinner.
“Fraser Cameron brings a wealth of experience and a profound respect for local produce to The Globe Inn,” says Head of Cuisine Jonathan Brett. “His first menu is a testament to his talent and a perfect introduction to the exciting culinary direction he’ll be taking us. We’re proud to support his vision for a truly Scottish dining experience.”
