These hogsheads are crafted from American oak and seasoned with José y Miguel Martín’s rich and complex Oloroso sherry for two years. Oloroso is renowned for its full-bodied profile, delivering bold flavours and intense character, making it an exceptional choice for whisky maturation.
Annandale’s Oloroso-aged whiskies have gained admiration from both our Sensory Panel and customers alike. These casks impart rich layers of fruit and spice, with noted characteristics of pear, apple, pineapple, and mango, alongside chocolate, marzipan, and delicate hints of cinnamon, cardamom, and clove.
José y Miguel Martín is our preferred sherry wood supplier, recognised for their integrity and the outstanding quality of their sherries. Their casks are highly regarded among Coopers and distillery employees alike, ensuring a refined and expressive maturation process for Annandale’s whisky.
